RNLI fund raising Festival of Boats Parade 2022

I am expecting about 23-25 boats so please try your absolute best to be out there. We have had press coverage and we will have a photographer on Sea Gypsy with a drone (weather permitting)
The plan- to muster at Jennycliff to be there by 17:15latest- Sutton freeflow has changed and says a start of 17:15 however our very friendly lock Keeper David is going to get the lock gates open as early as he possibly can.
Please meet up with only navigation lights on. Then we can all light up at once which will look amazing.
Important things to note.
Maritime rules outstrip all things below and Longroom will advise of any shipping movements
- The RNLI Inshore Boat will be Leading us
- Boat 2 will be Dream Catcher 2
- Boat 3 SAFETY BOAT- will be Pete and Tracey on Sea Gypsy
- PETE BROMLEY WILL BE DIRECTING BOATS WITHIN THE PARADE ON CHANNEL 8- However long room and other port authorities may also issue instructions.
- All other boats to safely fall in behind those 3. Staying in formation unless you feel it it Insafe to do so.
- Last Boat and 2nd SAFETY BOAT Will be Geoff and Ros on Pheonix
- Please stay on channel 8 for the duraction of the parade
- We will go anticlockwise twice round the Sound before breaking off and returning to base.
Everyone is then welcome to join us at RPCYC 25 The Parade on the Barbican for mince pies and mulled wine (other beverages are available!!)

We want to tell you about an exciting event planned and hosted by the RPCYC with all proceeds going to the RNLI. We cordially invite any participants from your Club or Marina to join us in, what we hope, will be the inaugural event continuing annually every December.
It could be the most amazing event if we get 40-50 boats along with clubs and organisations working together to provide a spectacle for the people of Plymouth.
The event:
Frostbite Rally – Hoe Hoe Hoe in Shimmering Lights with our Festival of Boats.
Boats from as many Clubs and Marinas as possible decorated in LED Lights to bring the feel of the holiday season onto the water.
When:
Sunday 11th December 2022.
Where:
Muster in Jennycliff Bay with lights off (other than navigation lights) at 16:00 onwards.
Light up and set off to motor sail at around 17:15 to follow in file the lead boat on an anti-clockwise direction around Plymouth Sound twice.
Then join us at the clubhouse, RPCYC 25 The Parade, Barbican, Plymouth for mulled wine and mince pies, other beverages are available!
