1. You are invited to take part in a FREE FUN Pursuit Race on Wednesday 28th December 2022. There will be two races with the first race starting at 1000. Racing will be managed from PYC Race Office at the end of Mount Batten Pier. Start Times and instructions will be given on VHF Ch M1(37A), or Ch M2 if for any reason Ch M1(37A) is unusable. (Advanced notice of Individual Start Times will be promulgated via WhatsApp on the evening of 26th December )
2. Boats will sail with spinnaker or white sails and advise in their entry below. The general rules of the PYC NoR will apply.
3. Start: The individual boat start times will be published prior to the race and repeated on Ch37A prior to the start. Start times for Race 1 will be determined from PYC published handicap data. Start times for Race 2 will be adjusted from the results of Race 1 and announced on Ch 37A. Countdown to each individual start will be given on Ch 37A. In both races the slowest boats will start first.
4. Courses: The normal range of PYC Numbered Courses will be used and will be promulgated from the Race Office on Ch 37A prior to the start. If necessary further courses will be shown by course boards on the North side of Mt Batten Breakwater.
5. All competitors, crews and their families are invited to the Plym YC after racing where the bar will be open and there will be a prizegiving after racing.
6. Entries by email to yachts@plymyachtclub.org.uk by noon on Monday 26th December 2022 giving the following details of your boat: Name, Class, Sail Number, Skipper. If you have not previously raced with the PYC it would be helpful if you could ensure we have your details ASAP to enable us to sort handicaps etc.
Entry confirms your agreement to the conditions stated above and declaration of insurance cover.
