DESCRIPTION:The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race is now recruiting for the 2025-26 and 2027-28 editions\, and we can offer (for free) one of our Clipper Race Alumni (former crew) to talk about their experiences at one of your future social events. Our talks usually last around 45 minutes to an hour (with 15 – 30 mins Q&A)\, but we can tailor them according to your event. \nThe Clipper Race is one of the biggest challenges of the natural world and an endurance test like no other. What makes it unique is that the crew on board the eleven 70ft ocean racing yachts are made up of people from all walks of life\, people just like you and I\, aged from 18 up to 75. The 11-month circumnavigation is divided into eight legs and includes six ocean crossings. You can hear from someone who has been there\, stared Mother Nature in the eye and taken all she can muster. DESCRIPTION:Please come and join the Rear Commodores’ sail and power for a drinks and canapes meet and greet from 1900hrs\, coincedently the Rear commodores’ (sail) birthday and the Armed Forces day. \nThis is a ticketed event to include a pint or glass house wine plus yummy canapés. \nWe’ll have some live music too. Should be one of those fab club evenings 🙂 \n£10 Members £12 non members. Please pay the £2 supplement for non members on the evening.
