DESCRIPTION:We have a selection of Pirate-themed cocktails available on Saturday and Sunday\, including Swashbuckler\, Long John Iced Tea\, Treasure Chest and The Black Pearl…just £7 each or 2 for £12. \nCome down & join in the merriment! \nOn Sunday\, our very own team of “Corinthian Swashbucklers” – Commadore Pete\, Andy R\, Kevin B\, & Roddy – will be braving the barbican waters on a hand-built raft\, to compete in the Raft Race. \nThey will be cheered on by our very own pirate cheer [beer?] leaders. Come down to Commercial Wharf for a 4pm race start\, & watch our daredevils in action… \nMeet back at the club afterwards for beer (or a rum) & a freshly baked pasty (pasties £4 each)\n \nDon’t forget to wear your pirate costume!

SUMMARY:RPCYC Guernsey Rally (12-15 June)
DESCRIPTION:Outline: RPCYC Club yachts and motor boats meet at Victoria Marina (no reservations possible) in St Peter Port for a weekend informal rally event. Boats would arrive (ideally) no later than 1800 on Friday 12th June\, and the event would end Monday 15th June. \nEvent Programme \nFriday 12 June:\n1930 Welcome Pontoon Party and nibbles at Victoria Marina. (Bring own drinks/food) Proceed for an informal dinner gathering at The Terrace garden Café (with live music). \nSat 13 June:\n1000 approx. Local Boat trip to Herm Island\, round Island walk and lunch. Return on completion circa 1500. Evening run-ashore independently or in groups. \nSunday 14th June:\nFree day for sightseeing/beach\n1800 Pre-dinner pontoon drinks (bring own drinks).\n1845 Rotating Dinner onboard club boats. Groups move between individual boats for main courses and desserts. Details including host boats to be arranged. \nMonday 15th: Event ends. Individual boat programmes. \nPassage Planning\nSkippers of individual vessels will (as normal) be entirely responsible for their passage planning and safety of their vessel and crew for the whole event. Guidance and options will be indicated by the event organiser who will conduct a “Skippers Briefing” on Friday 8th May at 1800 at the Clubhouse. At this stage the event organiser’s outline passage plan (weather dependant) is as follows: \nThursday 11th June: Proceed from Plymouth to Salcombe (pm) with the flood tide. Moor in Salcombe Harbour or Starehole Bay. Early to bed. \nFriday 12th June: Slip mooring at 0200\, exit Salcombe and proceed to Guernsey\, approaching St Peter Port from South. 16 hour passage (3.5 hours night)\, avoiding TSZ. ETA SPP 1800. \nFor other boats also departing from Salcombe at around this time\, the passage could be conducted in a “cruise in company” /“dispersed flotilla” format. \n  \nThis is not a ticketed events and a WhatsApp group will be set up for interested skippers and crew. \nI wish boat skippers \, and potential crew members to register with \n1. Name of skipper and mobile contact number. \n2. Name of boat\, and draught and length in metres. \n3. Whether they need crew for the event. \n4 Names of individuals wishing to act as crew for the event\, with mobile numbers. \nThank you \nGareth

SUMMARY:Helford River Meet 24th – 26th July 2026
DESCRIPTION:The Royal Plymouth Corinthian Yacht Club is pleased to invite members to a relaxed club meet on the beautiful Helford River over the weekend of 24th–26th July 2026. \nThis promises to be a fantastic social sailing weekend with plenty happening both on and off the water. We have arranged with the Budock Vean Hotel to use their beach area on Saturday afternoon for a casual bring-your-own BBQ. Members are invited to bring their own food\, disposable BBQs\, and drinks for an informal gathering by the water. \nWe have also coordinated with the Harbour Master to reserve a number of swinging moorings for visiting boats. To secure these\, we will need confirmed numbers no later than 10 days prior to the event. \nAdditionally\, the Helford River Sailing Club have kindly arranged pontoon access and have given us permission to come ashore and enjoy food and refreshments at their clubhouse\, as well as use of their facilities\, including showers and toilets\, during the weekend. \nAt the time of printing\, the Overnight Mooring Fees \n(Payable directly to the Harbour Master) \nUnder 30ft: £24 \n30.1ft – 35ft: £27 \n35.01ft – 39.5ft: £29 \n39.6ft – 45.9ft: £31 \nThis is a free event but you would like to join the club meet\, please confirm your attendance and boat size and type  so that moorings can be reserved. \nWe look forward to a great weekend on the Helford with good company\, good cruising\, and a relaxed summer BBQ by the river.
